Join us for a specially curated exhibition and workshops of ETHICAL COLOUR by Colour of Saying for London Design Festival 2024, September 19th-22nd. Highlighting climate-positive and less impactful forms of colour through hands-on making practises and interactive forms of circular and regenerative research.
“Colour sources and processes chosen responsibly to eliminate human and ecological harm and to promote wellbeing, repair and regeneration.”

Ethical Colour Report 2022

Set over four days, the studio will be bringing insights from previously released ETHICAL COLOUR REPORT to life through creative displays and workshops of innovative colour-makers and their notable hues, uncovering their craft processes and innovations, highlighting activist ingredients including plants, local food and industrial waste sources through to bio-based materials.

All with the aim
to encourage designers, companies and individuals to make ethically informed choices about colour and materials so that they can limit damage, even begin restore the planet in their work or approach.
Through exhibition displays, experience raw materials of colour first-hand and to learn how to map responsible design choices with circular frameworks.

The exhibition will zoom in to the macro aspects of colour, materials and processes as well as zoom out to future industry applications and wider regenerative and circular considerations.

Connecting and displaying local colour stories and communities, diverse origin points for colour, artefacts and tools, Colour of Saying uncover the decision-making, measure their carbon and energy and map circular systems providing solutions and remedies through learning and workshops.
